Very simple icon coloring tutorial ;)
Well, I made a tutorial! ;) It's not a very good one, since it's my first real tutorial, but yeah.. Don't be so hard on me! XD
First, you choose the image. I picked this cap featuring Cameron, from House M.D., by
dj_capslock.
Crop it, resize it to 100x100 and get started ;)

First, create a new layer, fill with #092682 and set on exclusion, 100%.
->
Create a new layer, fill with #EBF785 and set on soft light, 100%.
->
Duplicate the base, set it to screen, and move it to the top of the layers.
->
Create a new layer (on top of the screen one), press ctrl+shift+alt+e and set this layer to linear burn, 80% opacity.
->
By now, this is how my palettes look like.
Now merge the layers (ctrl+shif+e), duplicate it and set it to soft light, 60%.
->
Now you can add anything you like, i just added this tiny-text brush made by me [there's no need to credit if you take it] and it's done!

Other icons made with this same technic:

I hope it helps you, and I'd love to see what you come up with! ^^
