choose your base. i picked this rupert shot, from mugglethai. crop and resize it. ![]() ![]() open a new curves adjustment layer. rgb input:58; output:74 -> ![]() open a new layer, fill it with #E7E31B and set the blend mode to soft light, 58% opacity. -> ![]() open a new selective color layer. reds cyan: -100; magenta: +100; yellow: -18; black: 0 cyans cyan: -100; magenta: +100; yellow: +100; black: 0 neutrals cyan: +53; magenta: -11; yellow: -53; black: -20 -> open a new hue/saturation layer; up the saturation to +45. ![]() open a new layer, fill it with #55443B and set the blend mode to soft light, 70% opacity. -> ![]() open a new color balance layer. midtones -63; +12; +18 -> ![]() now take this texture by peoplemachines, resize it and set the blend mode to screen. and you're done! ![]() If your icon turns out too light, duplicate the brown soft light layer as many times as needed. :) - I'd love to see what you come up with; - There's no need to credit. other icons made with this same technic: ![]() ![]() |
